State-of-the-Art Golf Club Fitting Facility Lets Players Customize Their Equipment
 

MIAMI, FL – March 3, 2015 – Donald J. Trump, Chairman and President of The Trump Organization, unveiled today the TaylorMade Performance Lab at the iconic Trump National Doral Miami. One of only a handful in the U.S., this exclusive facility uses cutting-edge technology to customize golf clubs for players. TaylorMade Performance Lab offers Tour-caliber club-fitting experiences to golfers of all ages and abilities. Using a proprietary MAT-T 3D motion reality system, the Performance Lab analyzes players’ individual swings and stances to craft unique equipment specifically tailored to their needs. Previously reserved exclusively for Tour players, TaylorMade Performance Labs are now a premier destination for all golfers seeking the ultimate in precision, custom-fitted clubs.

 

In the facility’s two-hour fitting experience, the golfer dons a reflective suit utilizing more than 30 sensors placed on key markers around the body, which are combined with sensors placed on test clubs to provide information accurate to within a tenth of a degree. This gives the master fitting professional a comprehensive understanding of the golfer’s tendencies. Next, outdoor launch monitor readings are conducted to create a detailed list of recommendations for the golfer’s equipment needs.

 

TaylorMade’s fitting professionals are experts at taking the information from the indoor and outdoor testing to identify the right combination that will offer the golfer the tools necessary to optimize their performance, including drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, putters and wedges. Certain equipment can be built to the golfer’s specifications instantly onsite, offering them the ability to play with their new equipment immediately. Custom orders placed by TMPL patrons are prioritized within TaylorMade’s warehouse, meaning that once the order is placed, the TaylorMade custom line will have the order built and turned around within 48 hours.
